- to press the right mouse button. If you are having
- difficulty and are unsure how windows works please

-
- 3.0 Getting Started
-
- CASINO PLANNER has been designed to be easy to use.
-
- 3.1 Ideal for Beginners and Advanced Players
-
- CASINO PLANNER is ideal for both the beginner
- and advanced player. Using the power of interactive
- multimedia, the non-Mini version of the program takes you
- through the basics of the game at your own pace and in the
- privacy of your own home. Exclusive features allow the advanced
- player to gain access to information on winning NEVER before
- available.
-
- 3.2 Use the On-line Help
-
- The help incorporates a unique interactive design that
- minimizes the need to "dig" for information. Subtopics
- or pages (screen - size "chunks" of information) are grouped
- in a logical sequence to form subjects similar to chapters
- in a book.
-
- 3.3 Table "HOT SPOTS" for Different Bet Types
-
- Unfortunately, the layout at a real crap table does not
- "label" all of the different bets that can be made.
- Likewise, CASINO PLANNER for Craps had to do the same.
- But in an effort to make it easier to see where the "areas"
- are for different bet types, CASINO PLANNER has an option to
- select a "gray" table instead of the standard green or blue.
-
- To select the gray table:
- 1. Under the Options menu, select "Casino".
- 2. In the Casino dialog, select the gray table (bottom left
- portion of dialog).
- 3. Click the OK button.
-
- Now you should see a gray crap table in the main screen.
- There are different shades of gray to indicate where the
- "Hot Spots" are for the various "unlabeled" bets.
-
- To see what type of bet is under a shaded gray area:
- 1. Hold down the shift key and click with the left mouse
- button the shaded area you are interested in.
- 2. A help window will be displayed explaining the type of
- bet selected.
- 3. After reading the text displayed, go the file menu and
- select "Exit". This will take you back to the main table.
-
- Alot of people like the gray table better than the green and
- blue tables simply because it is more intuitive and it is
- easier to see the chips on a gray table. However, the choice
- of table color is yours.
-
- 4.0 Troubleshooting
-
- 4.1 Sound Problems
-
- CASINO PLANNER recommends using a Soundblaster or
- compatible sound card. Make sure you have the correct
- card and its required drivers are installed properly.
-
- 4.2 Display Problems
-
- Check that your monitor is set to display 256 or more
- colors, for best results. If you computer is only capible
- of 16 colors, CASINO PLANNER will still work, but some color
- combinations may look funny.
-
- 4.3 Display Help mode
-
- Check that your monitor is set to display at least 256
- colors, for best results. If you are using a setting
- of thousands of colors, some video drivers may cause
- On-line Help jump text to appear black instead of
- green. This is caused by the video driver. Contact
- your manufacturer for a copy of the latest driver(s).
-
- 4.4 Brightness
-
- The brightness can vary from monitor to monitor.
- If the crap table color is too dark (i.e. dark green),
- simply increase the brightness control knob on your
- monitor.
